RulesCoC is a guild where we consider fun and whooping ass to be the source of all enjoyment in the game of WoW.The first rule of thumb is..... WoW is a game, not a job or more important than your real life.
However, bare in mind, its a community of REAL PEOPLE and your real life commitments should not affect the fun of others in game. With this in mind, we ask you to be considerate to how your actions and words affect others. Below are some guidelines to follow and obide by.
Raider RulesAs a Raider in CoC, the rules listed below are to be followed to allow your existing consideration and inclusion in the Raiding Core of the guild. When Raiding...give 100%, Hit like a maniac, Heal like your life depends on it, and tank like a Panzer Division. You must agree to every point on this list and follow it when signing up or raiding.
01. I will use the Raid Planner @
http://raids.wownova.com/ to sign up for raids. I have read the "How To" on the forums and understand how it works.
02. I understand that the raid Invite time is when I will be online to guarantee that my place is reserved. If I am late for this time, I
accept that my place may be given to someone else.
03. If I know in advance that I cannot make the raid, I will either cancel on the raid planner of let an officer know.
04. I understand that Raid Times are 20:00 to 00.00 (4 Hours) on raid nights. My participation will be for this entire period when I sign up. I will not leave the raid early as this will jeopardise my future raiding with the guild and/or my rank within the guild.
05. Before raiding I will be prepared with all the buff food / elixirs /
pots that I will need for the raid. I will liase with an officer several hours or days before the raid to get pots from the guild bank, should I have trouble obtaining them on the AH. The Guild Bank sells pots to raiders at a reduced price, and I will not abuse this system more than needed.
06. When Raiding I will follow the assignments given to me by the raid leader, and I will have researched the boss before the raid, so I will know at least theoretically what I am meant to do / boss abilities. My consistent place in raids will ensure that such tasks will become second nature. During trash on a raid, chatting along will be
allowed aslong it is going smooth. When we arive on a boss fight, we
expect everybody will be quiet and listens to the tactics before and
during the boss fight
07. When I make a mistake I will admit the mistake and discuss briefly what occured. I will strive to not repeat mistakes.
08. I will use Deadly Boss mods or Big Wigs boss mods when raiding, to enhance both my awareness of the bossfights and help the raid be better informed of events. I will also use Omen Threat meter. I understand these mods are mandatory and lack of them will most likely result in my removal from a raid.
09. I understand that if I am offline for more than 5 minutes during a raid... a replacement will be sought after, I do not wish my absense to hurt the progress of the raid. As a member of the raid core I expect some leaniency on this (5 extra minutes) if we are not on a boss fight.
10. If you're asked to leave a raid, please do so gracefully, and understand the reasons.
11. Understand how DKP works and how to bid by reading the DKP table guide on the forums.
General RulesConduct
Although we are fond of freedom of opinion and speech in CoC, any threatening verbal abuse towards another guildie in anger, will result in your immediate kicking.
Ninjaing, and giving the guild a bad name, will result in your kicking.
Using a leveling service or buying gold, will result in your immediate kicking.
Alts * We welcome your Alts in CoC, however under the understanding that your MAIN is your priority to gear through raiding with us or via your own initiative.
* Alt's get gear priority over Offspec, but not over Mains. So if you are in a raid this is an eqeuivelant to a Greed roll, in case no one's main NEEDS the item.
* Changing your Main (ie swapping your ALT to your MAIN), can only be done if the officers agree that it will be beneficial to the guild, or if your character is in the early stages of gearing up, and the guild administration deems
it nessesary that a certain class is needed.
Loot * Don't be a loot whore. As long as the bosses die, be happy.. eventually we will all get geared.
* If you don't agree with a loot allocation, take it up with the raid leader/guild leader AFTER the raid. Once you are offered an explanation, accept it and understand the reasons behind it.
* As a "Main" you may Need roll on Items for your main role (Tank, Healer, DPS) while in a raid/party that is not on Master Looter.
* As a main you can Roll for offspec, but WAIT untill Alt's have asked if they can roll.
General Conduct * Be fair to each other, help when you can and ask when you need help with something! Be corteous when accepting help and offer to help back.
* When you take something from the Guild Bank, Put something back in....be it money or items. Help the bank help you!!!
* If you dish out harsh jokes, be prepared to take just as harsh ones! an eye for an eye is only fair no matter how extreme! But don't go overboard... and when someone can't take a joke, just let it be.
* Be understanding if someone has to leave a raid/party to attend to a matter in real life, one day that could be you.
* If you're gonna bitch about something in guild chat, think before you speak, some things can be resolved without making enemies publicaly.
* I'll add more to these soon, but generally its common sense I ask for and compassion for each other, co-operation, and understanding from all of you.
